Wow, what a fantastic weekend of cycling and fun!
The pupils across 3 school teams completed a total of 61 laps of the course, an amazing 427 miles of cycling over the (not quite) 24 hours. Every single rider gave their best effort; smashing PBs, smiling and keeping their legs pumping for the 7 mile circuit.
Special mentions to Aidan B and Lucy S who rode 11 laps between them and brought the teams home for the final lap, to Jack F who put in a massive 4 laps across the weekend, to Henry R who stepped up to fill in the 9pm slot at the last minute, to Cameron E-G for volunteering to go out at 5.45am and also Logan S for organising the whole team for our victory parade! The children all supported each other, cheered each other on and shared each other’s successes proving yet again what it means to be part of a team.
Also congratulations to Margo from Chesnut and her father who were awarded the Derek Taylor Memorial Trophy for Community Spirit after riding their laps dressed as a princess pirate and a monkey!!
Thanks also to the parents for getting everybody there on time and dealing with last minute schedule changes – you made our job so much easier.

Whether you took part or not, please feel free to share the link with friends and family and ask them to support our riders. All of the pupils were riding to raise money for FOCS which is so important for helping to provide for all pupils over the school year.
We look forward to seeing even more of you joining the team next year!
